About Me

My name is Anish Sunkireddy

Hi, I’m Anish, a senior at Marvin Ridge High School with a strong interest in medicine, public health, and research.

My experiences in healthcare and research have shown me how much prevention matters. I have worked on research involving COVID-19 proteins, artificial embryos, and the effects of childhood trauma on brain development. I have also shadowed physicians, volunteered in healthcare settings, and competed nationally in HOSA for Public Health Awareness.

One experience that stood out to me was leading a 7-person public health internship team focused on hygiene issues in Bauchi, Nigeria. Our team raised more than $400 and worked to bring health education and support to the community. I have also organized a medical summer camp for children and volunteered with younger students.

These experiences led me to create Hygiene Without Barriers.

My goal is to make practical health essentials easier to access, especially for children who need it most.

Turning Awareness Into Action

I have led health and sanitation education efforts focused on underserved communities.

In Nigeria, I helped conduct a health and sanitation workshop reaching approximately 50 people and helped raise more than $400 to support the effort.

I have also worked with children through health education programs and continue to build initiatives that make preventive health information easier to understand and use.
